This simple crochet shawl is a project you can complete in a single weekend! It’s also a great stash-busting project. I chose to use a cotton blend sock yarn to create a light summery accessory. Simply select yarn and a crochet hook that works with your yarn choice and you are ready to get started.
Pattern: (Written using US terms)
Begin: Ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 3, work 2dc into ring, ch 2, work 3 dc into ring, ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: 2 dc in 1st st, ch 1, [3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc] into ch 2 sp, [corner formed], ch 1, 3dc into last st, ch 3 and turn.
Row 3: 2 dc in 1st st, *1 ch , 3dc in next ch sp*, ** rep to corner, [3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc], *1 ch , 3dc in next ch sp*, ** to final st, work 3 dc into final st, ch 3 and turn.
Row 4-end: Repeat row 3 until you reach the desired size. Cut yarn and pull through the last stitch. Weave in your ends, add fringe if you like, block if desired, and enjoy!
