You don’t have to be a beginner to enjoy this easy knit! The Pembroke Scarf is the perfect pattern for a knit night with the girls, or to work on while watching TV, or simply when you need to find a moment of inner peace while knocking the needles together. I used a 100g skein of sock yarn and it gave the finished scarf the perfect length and width. I hate fussing with short “tails”, but the 400 yards knit with US Size 3 needles (3.0 mm) gave me the result I was looking for. The yarn is from Mountain Colors in a custom colorway called Georgetown. They make it for a yarn shop called The Quilted Purl located in Georgetown Colorado. It is comprised of 60% Superwash Wool, 25% Mohair, and 15% Nylon.
The pattern is asymmetrical with a two-row repeat. Can’t get much easier than that knitter peeps!
You can find the pattern here along with several others suitable for sock yarn.
Can’t wait to try the Pembroke pattern!
I love this pattern and yarn, you used.
Thank you, Lois! It really is a great pattern. Easy to follow, great for knit night with friends or an evening of Netflix binging. Hope you give it a try! It works great with a variegated yarn.
Your scarf looks wonderful! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the yarn!
Thank you, Ruth! I just loved spending time in The Quilted Purl. It’s a fabulous shop!

I have started this pattern and have a question. I am confused because I do not see where you would decrease to create a triangle.
Hoping you can help!

Hi Diana—You don’t decrease in this pattern, you increase from the 4st cast on.
