I don’t remember when I first discovered Faerie Doors, but I think they are the cutest things EVER! If you don’t believe me, check out a sampling of doors here. The two doors in the photo are spoken for, one for me, and one for a friend to whom I owed a little recompense. (In other words, I bribed her into a favor and this is her payment.)
I found these lovelies at Hobby Lobby, of course, and garnered myself several “what the heck is with the weird chick” looks when I did the happy dance in the aisle and squealed in delight at their discovery. They were the only two on the shelf, can you imagine? Hobby Lobby running out of Faerie doors? Sheesh.
So, they need another coat of paint, and I still need to select a trim color for the green one. I purchased these teensy tiny doorknobs to add. I have $5 that says I loose the little key in the photo before these babies are finished.
Once that’s all taken care of I plan to attach them to a front stoop. I’m thinking sort of a Mexican tile look, but it could take hours in Lowe’s before I decide. <grin>.
Lastly, I’ll make another trip to Hobby Lobby to look for decorations for the front of the doors. I figure I’ll pack a lunch and bring along a six pack of Dr. Pepper for the trip. Maybe an overnight bag. It could take awhile.
