Sock Yarn Scarf
Whenever I head out of town, I make it a point to find a local yarn shop wherever I’m vacationing. It’s a given that if I find a yarn store, I’ll grab a skein of sock yarn. I almost always have a sock on the sticks so fingering weight yarn will never go unused. The thing is, sometimes there is a skein of sock yarn that is just too gorgeous to put on my feet. In those cases, a Pembrooke Scarf is always an option. But, so is this sock yarn chevron patterned scarf. If a long scarf isn’t your thing, you can shorten it and add buttons and buttonholes to make more of a cowl style. You might also cast on provisionally, then graft the live stitches to turn this into an infinity scarf. This chevron pattern is a simple two repeat that you can easily memorize. That makes this a fabulous grab and go project.
